Gimbap, sometimes spelled Kimbap, is a Korean dish consisting of rice (bap) and various ingredients rolled in a sheet of seaweed (gim). Common fillings include pickled radish (danmuji), carrots, spinach, eggs, and sometimes meat or seafood. The rolls are sliced into bite-sized pieces and often enjoyed as a convenient and portable meal or snack. Gimbap is similar in appearance to sushi rolls but is seasoned differently, using sesame oil and salt instead of vinegar.
